The execution of world famous “peanut” the squirrel & Fred the raccoon by the New York State Government

The owner of Peanut the squirrel explains how New York officials raided his house, took Peanut and his raccoon Fred (rescue animals), and k*lled them. In my opinion. This was an execution.

7-year-old Peanut and Fred the raccoon were euthanized after anonymous complaints.

Mark Longo the owner explains below:

“Officers raided my house as if I was a drug dealer. I was sat outside my house for five hours. I had to get a police escort to my bathroom.”

“I wasn't even allowed to feed my rescue horses breakfast or lunch. I was sit, sat there like a criminal after they interrogated my wife to check out her immigration status.”

“Then proceeded to ask me if I had cameras in my house. Then proceeded to go through every cabinet, nook and cranny of my house for a squirrel and raccoon.”

“They got a search warrant for departments, and a judge signed off on a search warrant for a squirrel in a raccoon. And then they took them and k*lled them.”

Here are my thoughts on this:

Out on my bistro set, finally with some caffeine on a glorious fall day 🍂, as you may know, I’ve been advocating for animals for over 14 years since going vegan. I try to tell people that animal lives have value and are special, like pigs, squirrels, horses, cows, and chickens, whales, otters, and that they are individuals who deserve to live their lives free of human exploitation and execution, especially by the government. I went vegan as a commitment to animals that I would never do harm to them. After I made the connection that all animals want to live and have emotions and feelings, my world opened up and changed for the better. The recent execution of #peanutthesquirrel and his raccoon friend by the NY government is also an alarm to the horrific overreach of power forced onto not only owners of pets but also animals. This also resonated with sanctuary organizations that rescue abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals. Letting someone live is not a hard concept to understand. I hope this recent heart-breaking event can open your awareness to a new level of understanding and compassion for animals and the danger of an overreaching government. #newyork #animals #pets #animalrights #animalsanctuary #peanutthesquirrel #justiceforpnut #newyork #animals #pets #animalrights #animalsanctuary #peanutthesquirrel #justiceforpeanut #farmsanctuary #cats #dog #pigs #cows #chickens #seaturtle #lion #elephant #turkey #veganism
